Baked Tacos


  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
  • 1 can (10.75-oz.) condensed tomato soup
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 8 ORTEGA Taco Shells (12 ct)
  • 8 ozs. cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 head lettuce, shredded
  • 1 tomato, chopped


Preheat oven to 325°F.

In a large skillet, brown ground beef, onion and garlic until beef is no longer pink, about 8 minutes; drain.

Stir in tomato soup, chili powder, cumin and cayenne pepper; heat through.

Spoon meat mixture into taco shells and top with cheddar cheese. Bake for 5 minutes or until cheese melts. Serve with lettuce and tomato.
