Fill soft tortillas with creamy refried beans and melted cheese for a satisfying pick-me-up. Bursting with velvety sour cream and tangy diced tomatoes, these bean and cheese tortillas go well with soup or salad for a light meal.

Beans 'n' Cheese


  • 1 can (15.5-oz.) ORTEGA Refried Beans
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 12 flour tortillas
  • 8 ozs. sour cream
  • 2 tomatoes, diced


Preheat oven to 350°F.

Spoon beans into an 8x8-inch square baking pan or dish. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until cheese melts.

Meanwhile arrange tortillas on a large platter. Have sour cream and tomatoes handy. When beans are ready, spoon some onto tortillas. Top with tangy sour cream and diced tomatoes or invite diners to serve themselves.
