Brer Rabbit Amber BBQ Sauce


  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil, (or olive oil)
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup BRER RABBIT Molasses
  • 1 cup apricot preserves
  • 2 tbls. REGINA Balsamic Vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce


In small saucepan, heat oil over medium heat and cook onion, stirring occasionally, 4 to 6 minutes or until dark golden brown. Add garlic and cook 30 seconds. Stir in molasses, preserves, vinegar and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer uncovered, stirring occasionally, 5 minutes. Cool slightly. Brush on your favorite grilled chicken, pork or steak. Store remaining sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Makes 1 1/2 cups.

*Also great served warm as a dipping sauce.
