This combination of flavors is an easy meal that will satisfy everyone's appetite.

Chili Pie


  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 bottle (8 oz.) ORTEGA Taco Sauce - Mexican Style
  • 1 cup frozen corn kernels
  • 1 cup (4 oz.) shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 box (8 1/2 oz.) corn muffin mix
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/3 cup milk


PREHEAT oven to 400°F.

BROWN beef in well-seasoned 10-inch cast-iron skillet; drain. Stir in taco sauce and corn; sprinkle with cheese.

COMBINE muffin mix, egg and milk in small bowl until smooth. Spoon over meat mixture.

BAKE for 15 to 20 minutes or until corn topping is golden brown and wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
