This is a Mexican Style Casserole that is simple to make and simply delicious to the taste buds!

Corn Bread Tamale Pie

Ingredients

  • 2 tsps. vegetable oil
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 can (10 3/4) condensed tomato soup
  • 1 cup frozen corn, defrosted
  • 1 can (4-oz) ORTEGA Diced Green Chiles
  • 2 tbls. chili powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 3/4 tsps. salt, divided
  • 3/4 cups corn meal
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/3 cup 2% milk
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
