Grandma's Banana Bread

Ingredients

  • 4 tbls. butter, softened
  • 3/4 cups Grandmas Original Molasses
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 bananas, ripe; mashed
  • 1/2 cup (optional) chopped nuts
  • 1/2 cup (optional) chocolate chips
  • 1/2 teaspoon (optional) orange zest
  • 1/2 teaspoon (optional) nutmeg

Directions

Heat oven to 350°F. Cream butter, molasses and sugar. Whisk together flour, salt and

baking soda. Combine with butter mixture until consistency resembles brown sugar. Beat in

eggs. Fold in remaining ingredients. Pour into greased loaf pan. Bake 50-60 minutes. Cool.



Yield: one loaf
