Guacamole Sandwiches


  • 3 avocados, sliced
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • 1/2 cup cottage cheese
  • 2 tbls. lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 6 flour tortillas
  • 12 ozs. cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup bean sprouts
  • 1 cup alfalfa sprouts
  • 6 fl. ozs. ORTEGA Thick & Smooth Taco Sauce - Medium
  • 8 ozs. tortilla chips


In a food processor, combine sliced avocados, sliced tomato, cottage cheese, lemon juice, and garlic salt. Blend until smooth and set aside.

Place flour tortillas on a lightly greased baking sheet. Cut cheddar cheese into 12 slices and arrange two portions on each of the tortillas. Broil 6 inches from the heat just until the cheese melts. Divide the avocado mixture and place on top with bean sprouts and alfalfa sprouts. Fold in half and serve with taco sauce and tortilla chips.
