Linzer Cookies



1. Preheat oven to 350.

2. In a large mixing bowl cream together margarine and sugar. Add the egg,

lemon and vanilla and mix.

3. Add the nuts and continue to mix.

4. Stir together the dry ingredients and add to mixing bowl and mix to blend.

Form into ball, wrap and chill.

5. Roll dough on a well floured surface to 1/8 " thickness. Using a cookie cutter cut

2 " rounds. To make lids cut holes in half the cut outs.

6. Bake 10 - 12 minutes. Cool on wire racks.

7. Spread preserves on solid cookie cut outs. Top preserves with lids. Fill holes with

additional preserves; sprinkle with powder sugar. Makes 8 cookies.
