Mexican Pinto Bean Dip



Purée pinto beans to a coarse paste in a blender, food processor or by hand-mashing. Place the bean paste and water in a saucepan over medium heat and heat thoroughly. To the heated bean mixture, add Monterey Jack cheese, chili powder and salsa; stir to mix well. Simmer until the cheese is melted, about 5 minutes.
