This 'pizza' has the crust on top instead of on the bottom. Serve with carrot and celery sticks and ice cream sundaes for dessert.

Mexican-Style Skillet Pizza


  • 1 jar (16 oz.) ORTEGA Salsa - Homestyle Recipe (Mild)
  • 1 1/2 pound ground beef, cooked, crumbled and drained
  • 1 2/3 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese, divided
  • 1 package (10 oz.) refrigerated pizza dough


PREHEAT oven to 425°F.

COMBINE fully cooked ground beef and Salsa Prima in large ovenproof skillet; top with 1 1/3 cups cheese. Place pizza dough over beef; trim dough to fit top of skillet. Sprinkle top of dough with remaining cheese.

BAKE for 15 to 20 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
