Start your next fiesta with this quick and easy one pot soup. This makes a perfect light lunch or add a prepared salad and a loaf of crusty bread for a satisfying meal that's a snap to prepare.

One Pot Beef and Salsa Soup


  • 1 pound ground beef, cooked and drained
  • 2 cans (14.5-oz.) beef broth
  • 1 can (14.5-oz.) diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 1/2 cup ORTEGA Salsa - Homestyle Recipe (Medium)
  • 1 can (7-oz.) ORTEGA Diced Green Chiles
  • 1 cup small dry shell pasta
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 3 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 2 tsps. chili powder
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese


COMBINE beef, broth, tomatoes with juice, salsa, chiles, pasta, onion, garlic and chiles powder in medium saucepan; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low; cook 12 to 15 minutes or until pasta is tender. Season with salt and ground black pepper. Garnish with cheese.
