Tropical fruit salsas and relishes are the perfect accompaniment to grilled chicken or seafood. This slightly bold relish maintains its character when paired with any of your barbecued fish or fowl favorites.

Papaya and Green Chile Relish


  • 4 tbls. rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 1/2 cup diced papaya
  • 1 can (4-oz.) ORTEGA Diced Green Chiles
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped red onion
  • 3 tbls. chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper


COMBINE vinegar, honey and garlic in medium bowl. Add papaya, chiles, onion, cilantro and cayenne pepper; toss gently. Season with salt.
