Pork Ribs Braised in Taco Sauce


3 lb. pork spare ribs
Salt and pepper
2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
3 bottles (8 oz.) ORTEGA Taco Sauce (any variety)
2 cups chicken stock
1 can (15 oz.) ORTEGA Black Beans
12 ORTEGA Soft Tortillas (any variety)


1. Season ribs with salt and pepper. Heat the vegetable oil in a large, heavy saucepot over medium-high heat and brown ribs.
2. Stir in taco sauce and chicken stock. Bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to low and simmer, covered for 2 1/2 hours or until ribs are very tender. Remove meat from the bones.
3. Cook beans in a medium saucepan until heated through. Wrap tortillas in a damp paper towel and heat int he microwave on high for 90 seconds. To serve, fill warm tortillas with beans, pork and sauce.

Makes 6 servings.
