Salsa Manhattan Clam Chowder

Ingredients

    1    tablespoon olive oil
    1    onion, diced
    1    jar (16 ounces) ORTEGA Thick and Chunky Salsa
    1    can (6.5 ounces) chopped clams with juice
    1    cup water
        Salt, to taste
        Black pepper, to taste
        ORTEGA Taco Shells, broken into bite-size pieces, or oyster crackers

Directions

Heat oil in medium saucepan over medium heat. Add onion. Cook and stir 4 minutes or until onions become translucent.

Stir in salsa, clams with their juice and water. Cook and stir 10 minutes or until flavors have blended. Season with salt and pepper, to taste. Serve with taco pieces.

Tip: For a colorful presentation, top each serving with a tablespoon of ORTEGA Salsa Verde.
