This recipe is the actual breakfast menu item Carl's Junior used to serve in the early 1980's. I'm not sure if they served it with cheese or not. Whether Ortega needs their permission to reproduce this is up to Ortega to decide. I have thus given credit to Carl's Junior for this breakfast item that deserves mention. The recipe is so simple, I don't know how Ortega can be without it.

Scrambled Eggs with Cheese and Green Chile


eggs (2)
extra sharp cheddar cheese
Ortega Green Chiles
Pam or vegetable oil
salt and pepper


1. Scramble eggs in bowl.
2. Mix in Ortega Green chiles
3. Mix in salt and pepper to taste
4. Grease frying pan with Pam or vegetable oil.
5. Add contents of bowl to frying pan.
6. Cook until eggs are fully
cooked or still somewhat moist -- whatever you prefer
7. Top eggs with cheese and melt (place a lid over eggs to melt faster)
