Easy and economical chili verde slow cooker style. We love this recipe with sour cream in flour tortillas. Some people like it with cheese on top. In my family it has been served over rice or mashed potatoes as well.

Slow Cooker Chili Verde


2lb picnic pork roast (cut up)
2 cans ortega chilis (larger cans)
2 cloves garlic diced
1 small onion diced
2 tsp cumin or to taste
2 tsp salt


Cut up pork dip in flour and brown with onion and garlic. When browned add all other spices, put in slow cooker add enough water to barely cover the top of ingredients. Cook on low for 6 hrs.
Cook on high for about 4 hours.
