Sombrero Black Bean Chowder


  • 1 can (19-oz.) black bean soup
  • 1 can (14.5-oz.) diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup frozen corn
  • 1 can (4-oz.) ORTEGA Diced Green Chiles
  • 1/2 cup ORTEGA Salsa - Homestyle Recipe (Mild)
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese, optional
  • 1 cup tortilla chips, optional


COMBINE soup, tomatoes, corn, chiles, salsa, onion, garlic and chili powder in medium saucepan. Bring to a boil; reduce heat to low. Cook 10 minutes. Serve with cheese. Garnish with tortilla chips.
