South Seas Scented Satays


  • Ingredients for Marinade:
  • 1/2 teaspoon ACCENT Flavor Enhancer
  • 3 ozs. concentrated pineapple juice
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tsps. pumpkin pie spice
  • 2 tsps. grated ginger root
  • 2 tsps. garlic cloves, grated
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • Other Ingredients:
  • 2 lbs. beef tip sirloin, cut into 3/4 inch cubes
  • 2 whole medium size mango, peeled, cut into cubes
  • 2 whole medium size red bell pepper, cut into squares


Mix marinade ingredients. Mix with beef and let marinade, chilled, 4 hours. Soak 20 bamboo skewers in water. Thread alternating 4 beef cubes, 2 mango cubes and 2 bell peppers on each skewer. Do not end with mango because they are slippery and will slide off skewer. Barbecue over high heat about 10 minutes, turning often or until desired doneness. Place on serving platter lined with lettuce. Serve hot.
