Southwestern Seafood Pizza


  • 1 1/4 cup yellow cornmeal
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 4 cups water
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan or Romano cheese
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 8 ozs. crabmeat
  • 1 1/2 cup ORTEGA Salsa - Homestyle Recipe (Mild)
  • 4 ozs. grated Monterey Jack or mozzarella cheese


Combine cornmeal, pepper and water in a microwave-safe baking dish; stir well. Microwave, uncovered, for 11 minutes on HIGH, stirring twice. Stir in Parmesan cheese and butter. Spoon into a buttered 9-inch microwave-safe dish and let stand for 30 minutes. Sprinkle with crabmeat and cover with sauce. Top with cheese. Microwave, uncovered, for 2 to 3 minutes on HIGH, or until cheese is melted. If desired sprinkle with chopped jalapeños chiles or crushed red pepper flakes. Let stand for 10 minutes before cutting into squares.
