Southwestern Turkey Sliders


1 pound ground turkey
1 jar (16 ounces) ORTEGA Salsa, any variety, divided
1 can (4 ounces) ORTEGA Diced Green Chiles
1 egg
1 packet (1.25 ounces) ORTEGA Taco Seasoning Mix
16 miniature burger buns or small soft dinner rolls, warmed
4 slices Cheddar cheese, each cut into 4 pieces
ORTEGA Sliced Jalapeno Peppers (optional)


Preheat grill to medium-high heat, about 15 minutes. Lightly brush grill grid with vegetable oil.

Combine turkey, 1/2 cup salsa, chiles, egg and seasoning mix in large mixing bowl. Mix gently but thoroughly. Divide into 16 equal portions. Shape into small burgers, about 2 inches wide.

Place on hot grill. Cook 3 minutes or until done.
Top each burger with cheese and serve on buns with remaining salsa and jalapeno slices, if desired.
