Spicy Pork


  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 pound pork strips, diced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 1/4 ounce ORTEGA Taco Seasoning Mix - Regular
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 1/4 ounce whole tomatoes, chopped
  • 3 ozs. black olives
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1/2 teaspoon liquid hot pepper sauce


In a large kettle, heat oil and brown pork strips, cut into 1'' cubes. Add chopped onion, cook and stir until tender. Stir in taco seasoning mix, garlic powder, chopped whole tomatoes, black olives, bay leaf, and liquid hot pepper sauce. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat, cover, and simmer for 1 hour, or until the pork is tender. Remove the bay leaf.
