Taco Pitas


  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 package ORTEGA Taco Seasoning Mix - Regular
  • 10 fl. ozs. diced tomatoes and green chiles
  • 8 3/4 fl. ozs. canned corn
  • 1/2 lettuce, shredded
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, grated
  • 4 pita pockets


Cook ground beef in large skillet, stirring to crumble; drain. Add taco seasoning mix, diced tomatoes and green chilies, and canned corn (drained). Bring to a boil, reduce the heat, and simmer, covered, for 15 to 20 minutes. Cut pita pockets in half and place on a baking sheet. Heat at 250 degrees for 10 minutes, or until warm. Fill each pocket with the meat mixture; top with shredded lettuce and grated cheddar cheese.
