Taco Soup


  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/4 cup onion, chopped
  • 14 1/2 ozs. whole tomatoes
  • 16 ozs. canned corn
  • 16 ozs. kidney beans
  • 8 fl. ozs. tomato sauce
  • 1 package ORTEGA Taco Seasoning Mix - Regular
  • 1 package corn chips
  • 4 ozs. black olives, sliced
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, grated


In a large kettle, heat oil and brown ground beef with chopped onion, over medium heat. Toss in whole tomatoes, canned corn, kidney beans, tomato sauce, and taco seasoning mix. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat, and simmer for 20 minutes. Place corn chip on top of soup, and serve with sliced black olives, and grated cheddar cheese.
