Texas Tortilla Soup


  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/4 cup onion, chopped
  • 16 ozs. whole tomatoes
  • 8 ozs. tomato sauce
  • 15 ozs. canned corn
  • 15 ozs. kidney beans
  • 1 package ORTEGA Taco Seasoning Mix - Regular
  • 4 cups tortilla chips
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1/4 cup black olives, sliced
  • 1/4 cup sour cream


Brown ground beef; drain. Add chopped onions and cook 3 more minutes. Stir in whole tomatoes, tomato sauce, canned corn (drained), kidney beans (drained), and taco seasoning mix. Simmer, uncovered, for 15 minutes. Serve over tortilla chips and garnish with grated cheddar cheese, sliced black olives, and sour cream.
