Everyone has their favorite seafood, so this recipe is quick and easy to customize for your family. Serve with tortilla chips for a light lunch, or as an appetizer to start off your favorite Mexican meal.

Texicali Seafood Soup


  • 1 can (10.75-oz.) condensed tomato soup
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 can (4-oz.) ORTEGA Diced Green Chiles
  • 1/2 cup frozen corn
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup cooked rice
  • 3/4 cups cooked seafood of choice
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh cilantro


COMBINE soup, water, chiles, corn, onion, rice and chili powder in medium saucepan. Bring to a boil; reduce heat to low. Cook, covered for 5 minutes. Add seafood; cook for 2 to 3 minutes or until hot. Garnish with cilantro.
