Traditional Chicken Fajitas


  • 1 onion, peeled and sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 green bell pepper, seeded and sliced
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 4 fresh boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced
  • 1/3 cup ORTEGA Salsa - Thick & Chunky (Medium)
  • 8 flour tortillas
  • 1 head medium lettuce, shredded
  • 1 green onion, trimmed and chopped
  • 1/2 cup sour cream


Spray a large heavy skillet with nonstick vegetable cooking spray. Over medium-high heat, sauté onion and garlic for 2 minutes. Add green pepper and sauté for another 1 to 2 minutes. Remove vegetables from the skillet.

Add oil and chicken; sauté for 3 to 5 minutes or until the chicken is tender. Return the vegetables to the skillet. Add salsa and cook, stirring, until heated through. Divide among the tortillas, top with shredded lettuce, chopped green onion, and sour cream. Roll up to serve.
