Tuna Taco Cakes


    4    ORTEGA Taco Shells
    1    can (6 ounces) tuna
    1/4    cup (1 ounce) shredded Cheddar cheese
    1/4    cup mayonnaise
    1    tablespoon ORTEGA Taco Sauce
    1    tablespoon vegetable oil
    1/4     cup ORTEGA Salsa


Place taco shells in resealable plastic bag; close bag. Crush with rolling pin until finely ground. Place crumbs in medium bowl.

Add the tuna, cheese, mayonnaise and taco sauce; mix well. Form into 6 cakes, using 1/4 cup mixture for each cake.

Heat oil in medium skillet over medium-high heat. Place cakes into skillet. Cook 4 minutes or until browned on one side. Turn cakes over carefull. Cook 4 minutes longer or until bottoms have browned.

Top with salsa before serving warm.

 Tip: For an excellent brunch dish, place warm cakes on a mixture of chopped tomatoes and your favorite lettuce.
