Warm Maple Nut Sundaes


  • 1 cup VERMONT MAID Pancake Syrup
  • 2 tbls. lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • vanilla ice cream
  • 1 can whipped cream
  • chopped walnuts
  • 1 loaf of banana bread


Combine first 4 ingredients in order given. Cook 15 minutes in saucepan, stirring constantly. Place 1" slice of banana bread on plate. Place a large scoop of vanilla ice cream over the bread. Pour 1/4 cup maple sauce over ice cream. Top with whipped cream, walnuts and maraschino cherry (optional). Serve immediately.

Makes 1 cup or enough for 4 sundaes.
