Wright's Hickory Smoked BBQ Chicken

In saucepan, over medium heat, heat chili sauce, jelly, lemon juice and hickory seasoning until blended and smooth. Use as a barbecue sauce when cooking chicken or pork or as a dipping sauce for cocktail franks or meatballs. Cover and store in refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. Makes 1 ½ cups.

In shallow dish, combine chicken, water and hickory seasoning, turning to coat chicken. Cover; chill at least 30 minutes, turning chicken once. Drain chicken.

Place chicken on rack in roasting pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes, brushing with Sweet & Sour BBQ Sauce during the last 10 to 15 minutes. Makes 4 servings.
